![]() ![]() So our clothes were covered in wet drywall and insulation. There was a wet spot in the ceiling (small closet with no light inside so never noticed it.and led us to find out out it was from a bad shingle install job) and he fell through sometime in the middle of the night. Needless to say, it got into ourĬloset through the attic. Eventually I used a broom to scare it out the front door. We let it chill while we get dressed and figure out how to get it from our back bedroom all the way out the front door. So being half awake and not completely thinking, I open the door to see if she was serious, and a squirrel “jump/flies” from the closet to the other side of our bedroom behind a chair. My wife opens our closet door and she screams and slams it shut, waking me up saying there was a squirrel in the closet. ![]() This reminds me of a story from our first house. One thing it's probably illegal and for another it's just not a good idea! So please don't tell people to relocate wild animals. This would be the same thing for a squirrel or any wild animal. And they are going to have a harder time catching that raccoon because it's already been caught once. The raccoon could possibly kill livestock could be getting into the feed bends etc. And now that farmer has a raccoon problem. Once a raccoon has been trapped and a live trap he's smart enough not to get in it again. They don't want to kill him so they want to take them down a country road and drop them off. I see this all the time with people with raccoons. Also you're making it someone else's problem. For one thing you're putting that animal in another animal's territory and therefore endangering that animal and other animals. There are many reasons why it's not a good idea. No it's actually illegal in a lot of places to relocate wild animals. ![]()
